Rumor Du Jour: Kimbo Heads East

As if we don’t talk about the poor guy enough, Kimbo Slice is finding yet another way to grab some headlines.

Is K-1 in Kimbo's Future?

Over a month ago, we discussed the potential for Kimbo to head over to Japan to make a buck. Now, we’re not going to brag and say we are on the same level of Miss Cleo, but our ability to pick out the future is pretty impressive as it turns out that Kimbo Slice will be headed to Japan to fight in K-1.  For all the ‘noobs’ out there, K-1 is essentially a combat sport in the vein of kick-boxing except without elbows or muay thai clinch. Bascially, it’s two guys punching and kicking the shit out of each other; It’s up Kimbo’s alley.

Reports Rumors are surfacing that Kimbo is set to make his first appearance at K-1’s December 6th show in Yokohama, Japan to introduce himself to the Japanese fans.  The next step for Mr. Slice will then be fighting K-1’s current Heavyweight Champ Badr Hari in March, talk about being thrown into the fire.  While these are only rumors, only Kimbo can look into his crystal ball and see if K-1 will be a part of his future. However, If Kimbo does make the move to K-1, it will be a huge step for the “Turkey of the Year“. And while it would be easy for us to bash on Kimbo, Momma always said to never wish ill upon somone (and that includes Kimbo) so we have nothing but well wishes for Mr. Slice and hope that he can punch his way to success in K-1.
