“BIG” Annoucnment

I'M BACK BABY!

I’m excited for November, we’ve already saw Mike Brown take the title from Urijah Faber, we are going to see the “Biggest Fight in MMA History“, and NOW we hear that ‘Big’ John McCarthy is going to make his way back into the octagon this month at Strikeforce: “Destruction” on November 21st.

He left the octagon over a year ago to do some announcing work but in an interview with Sherdog, he told us this:

“I missed doing it (refereeing). Sometimes when you walk away from something and you think it’s time, once you’re away you realize what you’re missing –- it’s kind of like why guys come back to fighting. It’s what I like doing. It’s what I was meant to do.”

I’m super stoked about this, with over 535 bouts under his belt the CSAC (California State Athletic Commision) will have the final word on when and where McCarthy will be able to start. We have a feeling with his name and expertise it won’t be long. Who knows they might actually sell a couple of tickets just by putting his name on the bout.
