Duck, Duck, ….

The latest development in the fiasco surrounding Seth Petruzelli’s knockout of Kimbo “Glass Jaw” Slice came when ESPN.com reported that the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (they oversee the Florida State Boxing Commission) has announced that they are initiating a ‘preliminary investigation’ into the allegations surrounding the Petruzelli-Kimbo fight.   The Communications Director of the Department of Business and Professional Regulations, Jennifer Meale gave us this:

While the Department of Business and Professional Regulation doesn’t have any reason to believe there was a problem with the Slice-Petruzelli fight, given the interest in it, the Department has begun a preliminary investigation to thoroughly review the circumstances of the fight

Is it just us or does anyone else feel like this EliteXC fiasco is turning into a childish game of duck-duck-goose?  Right now, it seems that all the bullshit is relatively contained but in an instant someone is going to yell ‘goose’ and this shit is going to explode into a stage nine cluster-fuck.  That’s how we here at the Dojo are calling this one.  Each new revelation in the story (ie. Whenever Petruzelli or anyone from EliteXC open their mouths) is just another ‘duck’ and we are just waiting for the shit to hit the fan when someone (our guess is the Florida Boxing Commision) yells ‘goose’.  So in the meantime, let’s just all sit back and watch this trainwreck happen.  Cause face it, We can’t do a damn thing to stop it.
