“UFC 2009 – Undisputed” Should Revolutionize Fight Gaming

The new UFC video game looks awesome!  We’ve been waiting on the release for well over a year, and finally we’re getting glimpses of a finished product.  If you haven’t been before, check out their website.  There you’ll find a bunch more videos displaying the standing, ground fighting, muay thai, and jiu-jitsu sequences we’ll get to control when it comes out.

The game has been delayed a few times (not uncommon in the video game realm), and it looks to be worth the wait.  Since the partnership began last year with veteran game company THQ, some sports game officianados have worried that gameplay would mimic other wrestling games we’ve seen before.  All the graphics in the world can’t save the letdown of getting button-mashed to death.  A quick thumbed Brock Lesnar would be virtually unstoppable.

Judging by the video tutorial, it looks like a more intricate design was used to control strikes and transitions.  So  your little nephew will have to be a bit more lucky to TKO your old school ass in this version.
