Dana Puts Chuck on Ice

Dana pulls the plug on Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell’s career in a Wednesday interview with insidefighting.com.  Dana is questioned by the site’s editor on a wide range of issues, including: the Ed Soares allegations, Anderson’s lack of killer instinct of late, Liddell’s (and others) retirement, the Loretta Hunt incident, and his cancellation and subsequent re-activation of his fan-favorite vlogs.

When asked if Chuck would be retireing, Dana said:

Chuck Liddell is stupid rich. Chuck Liddell is done. He’s got nothing left to prove. He’s the most famous guy on earth. I love him like a fucking brother and I don’t want to see him get hurt. There is no reason for it. He’s fucking forty years old man. Theses guys that are fighting now are young, explosive, fast fucking kids who are well rounded mixed martial artists. There’s no fucking reason for Chuck Liddell to be out there at forty years old still fighting. I don’t want to make a fucking nickel off that ever. Believe me, it will be a fucking war if he tries not to retire, believe me. I love him. He helped me build this business.

And plus, I’m going to bring him into the organization in some other way and he’s still going to make money. He’s been loyal to me and I’ve been loyal to him and that’s not going to change now that he’s retiring. He’ll always be a part of the organization. He’ll take on another role, he’ll still make money and he’ll be with me until the day we die.

Ice Road Trucker – Lured to Canada’s Northwest Territories by legends of riches (and a potential rematch with an out-of-element Shogun Rua), Chuck embarks on a new life of excitement and danger. The frozen lakes are no match for Liddell, as he scorches his way into the history books delivering a record-breaking amount of supplies to the mines. Before long, all the other truckers work for him; forever changing the name to Ice Road Chuckers.

Hockey Enforcer - The Chuck takes to the ice and redefines the role of the enforcer in the NHL. In fear of their consciousness, opposing players are forced to play fair, thus the NHL enters into a new age of clean, non-violent action. Fans of-course, are livid, and boycott the NHL, until a new “knockout bonus” is adopted. Heads roll, and the Chuck “the Iceman” enters his 2nd professional sport hall of fame.

Preserved – Dana cryogenically freezes Chuck (a la Austin Powers) to save him for a future generation of UFC competition. In TUF season 200, a re-animated Iceman leads a team of humans vs. a team of Stalin’s half-ape half-Russian hybrid warriors. Watch as Chuck uses his classic overhand to send those freaks back to the History Channel.
