There’s No Make-Up in MMA

Before we even begin, we want to apologize to any long time MMA fans who may be hearing about this situation for the first time.  It’s said to see such a beautiful sport be infiltrated by D-List celebrities.

A celebrity gossip blog, Just Jared.com has posted pictures of reality stars and cultural embarassments, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt training at Rickson-Gracie International Fighting School in Los Angeles.  The two grew to fame in 2004 via the MTV reality show, The Hills, and reportedly made 3 million dollars in the last two years from TV salaries, club appearances, and the like (aka they’re young and rich).  The couple were at the gym because Spencer Pratt is filming a new reality show in which he will be following MMA fighter Kevin Casey in his journey to MMA stardom.  The infiltration of Mixed Martial Arts by these D-list celebrities can officially be targeted as the exact time in which MMA has begun it’s decline.

The only other shitty celebrity we would rather see train for MMA would be say, Kathy Griffin.  On second thought, watching Kathy Griffin get her plastic faced smashed in by some brutal ground and pound at Team Hammer House is something I would pay to watch and would be far greater than seeing Heidi and Spencer learn jiu-jitsu from Kevin Rickson.
