From Red to K-Fed: The Evolution of Leben’s Hair
-
In anticipation of his headling fight at UFC 89 with Micheal “The Count” Bisping, We here at the Dojo have decided to take a reflective look at the maturation of Chris “The Crippler” Leben’s ever changing hairstyle. He sported a new style at yesterday’s press conference, that quite frankly, shocked us. But let’s start from the beginning:

Crayola Red
The Chris Leben we all fell in love with. The straight-up blood red style is the one MMA fans came to know and love as we first met the Crippler on UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter.
Stage 1 Mo-Hawk
Leben’s first effort to stray from his ‘traditional’ style. This landing-strip hawk didn’t garner much attention from the ladies. We don’t blame them, good thing he didn’t keep this one too long.

Stage 2 Mo-Hawk
The evolution of the Leben-Hawk reached it’s pinnacle here at UFC 66 in his loss to Jason McDonald. While much more bad-ass then the stage 1 hawk, this style still had us feeling like he was more of a character from a Tony Hawk Video Game, than a bonafide Mixed Martial Artist.

The Dark Ages
Literally the dark ages for Chris, he went with a whatever-the-fuck red/black styling that was pretty weak.

The Whatthefuck
While all of Chris’s hairstyle have made us confused as hell. this one takes the cake. We couldn’t tell if this style was in honor of Spiderman, or what. Turns out the style didn’t help as it lead him to a loss against Kalib Starnes at UFC 71.

The Castaway
Scruff? Tom Hank’s Wannabe? In an attempt to look homeless, Chris ditched the red and went with the two-tone Black hair/ Irish Red Beard combo.

The DUI
Oops. Mugshot pictures are never good. A DUI landed Chris this glamour shot. We’re sorry Chris, We’re sorry.

The K-Fed
Unveiled yesterday at the UFC 89 press conferences, this corn-rowed look mirrors the one and only Kevin Federline. While a fucked-up style, we are sure this hairstle won’t land him Britney Spears.

I so used to like Leben cause of his I don’t-give-crap-what-you-think-about me attitude. But the K-FED? Come on Chris! What’s next a rap video?
